Pasig City’s Bahay Aruga Gets a Treat From CW Home Depot

True to its commitment to share and give back blessings to the less fortunate, CW Home Depot kicks of its New Year as it once again gave a number of indigent kids of Pasig City a fun-filled day they wouldn’t forget. CW Home Depot continues its CSR project with the DSWD as they threw a New Year’s party at Tom’s World Robinsons Galleria for the kids of Bahay Aruga and several out of school youth under the care of DSWD Pasig.

Since the launch of its flagship branch, CW Home Depot has adopted Pasig City’s Bahay Aruga- a temporary shelter for abused, neglected and abandoned children, as a recipient of one of the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts.

Through the years, CW Home Depot had extended its full support to Bahay Aruga providing them with aide such as furniture, fixtures, musical instruments and donation drive.

About a hundred kids gathered at the mini theme park and enjoyed the exciting rides, arcades and games with CW Home Depot family. After all the energies they lost while playing-up, these children were treated with a sumptuous full meal, parlor games and loot bags. The loot bags were the product of the combined efforts of the merchandisers and staff of CW Home Depot, especially prepared to make the children of Bahay Aruga feel loved and appreciated.

“In behalf of Mayor Bobby C. Eusebio and the city council, a heartfelt thanks to CW Home Depot for supporting the city government of Pasig especially the Bahay Aruga and the Livelihood System” says Ms. Francisca Delleva, DSWD Department Head of Pasig City as she thanked CW Home Depot during her closing speech.

CW Home Depot plans to do more CSR projects this year as a sign of gratitude for the continued success of the company. CW Home Depot is a joint venture of Cebu Oversea Hardware Co. Inc. and West Point Industrial Co.. It has
5 existing branches located at Ortigas, Alabang, Balintawak, Manila Bay and Pampanga and another branch opening in Makati early this year. For updates on CW Home Depot activities and events, you can visit CW Home Depot official Facebook page – or log on to www.cwhomedepot.
