Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers East Metro Manila Chapter inducts New Officers and Directors

Civil Engineers and their partners gathered with Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – East Metro Manila Chapter (PICE-EMMC) as they celebrate the induction of its new set of officers and directors for the year 2011-2013 at CW Home Depot Ortigas branch.

The event, with the theme: “Lets Get Involved”, also served as a welcome party for the new members of PICE-EMMC from different universities around Metro Manila.

DPWH Undersecretary Romeo S. Momo graced the event as its Guest of Honor and Inducting Officer. An inaugural address and a valedictory address were also delivered by Incoming PICE-EMMC President Engineer Samson C. Lazo and Outgoing PICE-EMMC President Engineer Napoleon Co of CW Home Depot respectively.

“I was happy to serve PICE-EMMC for the past two years. We have remained bullish; even with the current state of our economy, with our association’s advocacies. And like our theme for the night, I look forward to us getting more involved. I consider the period that I was president of this chapter one of the high points of my tenure. May I take this opportunity to thank my colleagues and the members of the executive committee, vice president, past presidents, and friends in the industry that helped and supported me during these two significant years. My special thanks also goes to the PICE-EMMC secretariat who also aided in my smooth sailing administration of PICE. To Eng. Lazo, good luck and Congratulations”, says Eng. Napoleon Co on his final speech as the PICE president.

Also present during the event were past PICE-EMMC presidents, its council of advisers, Davies Paints – the event’s major sponsor, and CW Home Depot. The construction industry can expect more projects from PICE-EMMC this year.
